The diversity of life is astounding and important to the health of people and the environment. Yet, biodiversity at all levels - genetic, species and ecosystem - is a current issue poorly understood. In this workshop, participants will explore Pennsylvania’s biodiversity, experience hands-on activities, and examine local and global issues relating to biodiversity. All participants will receive the PA Biodiversity guide. The activities modeled in this workshop are more suited to teachers of grades 5 through 10, however the specific background information about Pennsylvania species and ecosystems and the hands-on exploration of forest and wetland environments are of value to teachers of all grade levels, K-12. Act 48 hours are available. Workshop limited to 15 participants. If you would like to be added to the Wait List, please call 717-221-0292, ext.4 or email [email protected].
